Katrina Kaif, born in Hong Kong on 16 July 1983, is named Katrina Turquotte and the name is due to her mother's surname and when talking about her parents, her father Mohammad Kaif is originally Kashmiri and her only Suzanne Who was a UK lawyer and social worker. According to Katrina, her mother and father divorced when she was very young and only her mother raised seven siblings.
When she did not come to India, she used to use her mother's surname, but when she came to India, she changed her name to Katrina Kaif because one is the practice of adopting the father's name in India. Katrina's family includes her three older sisters (Stephanie, Christine and Natasha), three younger sisters (Melissa, Sonia and Isabel) and an older brother named Michael.
Katrina's mother was associated with social welfare institutions due to which she had to go to many countries. After Katrina's birth, her family lived in China for a few days and then in Japan. From there, when she was eight years old, she lived in Switzerland, Poland, Belgium and other European countries for a few months.
